Punk Goes Classic Rock

I know I said that I really didn't review albums but... It has to go on record that I panned this little compilation.

Okay, I'm not sure where to begin... The background I guess.

Every year an album comes out like this, and the Punk Goes collection has indeed produced some gems. A cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella" and Forever The Sickest Kids performing the theme of "Men In Black" for instance, this year however has the same unknown-to-the-mainstream (for the most part) emo/hot topic type bands cover songs that probably shouldn't be covered.

This year rock hits from Queen, Tom Petty, The Stones, Blue Oyster Cult et al. are being re-done and for the most part it's horrific. Who the hell are The Almost to even think about recording "Free Fallin'"? Fucking Outlandish.

Buy it here, if you want...

Sorry Tom, your band mates aren't the only ones with broken hearts after this.
