Today marks the third installment of the Rikers countdown, and that equals ten days 'til Lil' Wayne is released.
For the #10 song, I've picked a track from arguably Lil' Wayne's best mixtape, one of which Rolling Stone hailed as 2007's 27th best album of the year (surprising... who at Rolling Stone decided to have musical taste?). Anyway Da Drought 3 was a banger except for like three tracks, "Don't Stop, Won't Stop" (Nicki Minaj's first appearance), "Forever" & "Promise", but despite those slower jamz and a Nicki verse Lil' Wayne proved he could eat up other people's beats and was on his way to mainstream success.
