Circa Survive - Blue Sky Noise

I've always been a fan of Anthony Green, ever since I heard his vocals on "Plays Pretty For Baby" when he was with Zolof and The Rock and Roll Destroyer. Then came his short lived time with Saosin, which produced the Translating The Name EP and one of my favourite songs of quite possibly all-time "I Can Tell There Was An Accident Here Earlier" respectively. Green dabbled with Circa, The Sound of Animals Fighting and even a solo project since Saosin, and now he and his fellow band mates have released their third album entitled Blue Sky Noise.

"Get Out" (Video below... no mp3's sorry didn't want to risk the feds getting on my case) and "Imaginary Enemy" are the two songs that were released leading up to the album's debut. It's a little hard to comment on Circa's latest because it's so consistent, yet almost a mature sound toeing the line of Hot Topic pop we've all grown to loathe.

"Glass Arrows" is the stand out track in my opinion, it's very reminiscent of "The Difference In Medicine and Poison is In The Dose". Screeching guitars, and Green's falsetto vocals make a great combination and make this album a must-listen.
